Project for the Development of Strandja Mountain in Bulgaria will be Launched

The development of a project for local improvement of “Strandzha” gathered expert mission of foreign and Bulgarian representatives.

Tatiana Rener from Slovenia, Terry O’Reegan from Ireland, experts from the European Council, and Mr. Peter Miladinov – from the Ministry of culture are on a working visit to work over the long term strategy for development of the area.

Unknown Monogram from XIV Century was Found at Trapezitsa Hill

The archeologist Mirko Robov found an unknown so far monogram during the exploration of the South fortified wall of the Trapezitsa hill.

The inscription is completely preserved. It is glazed and decorated. There is written a capital “T” and also “C”, “Y”, “Д”, “П” and “Н”. It partly looks like the monogram of St. Teodosii of Tarnovo, partiarh of Bulgaria during the Second Bulgarian Empire. He used such monograms to sign his works, explained Mirko Robov. Rousse Expedition Examines a Medieval Necropolis

The team of Professor Nikolay Ovcharov found a Medieval graveyard from XV-XVII century near the Rousse village Nisovo, BNR announced. The interesting fact is that by examining the remains of the buried people one can identify their job. Judging by the discovered objects in the graveyard the skeletons belong to a barber, a baker and a priest. In a number of excavated lots there are skeletons of 3 and 4-year old children, which most probably testify of a medieval epidemic of a deadly...

Aboriginal dance performance in Sofia

The ambassadors of the Australian culture will perform their native dances in Hall 1 at the National Palace of Culture (17 October) in Sofia,in Plovdiv (19 October) and the Sports and Culture Palace in Varna (22 October).

Descendans have often taken part in significant events like the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000, the Olympic Cultural Dances in Seoul in 2004, The Football World Cup in Germany and the Rugby World Cup.

Black Sea Rama Golf Complex Organizes “Balchik – Black Sea Rama Cup” Regatta

The sea season at the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast will be closed with an exciting event in Balchik Beach Resort. From 10th to 12th Oct “Balchik” Black Sea Club organizes a yachting regatta, under tthe name “Balchik – Black Sea Rama Cup”. The event is sponsored by Black Sea Rama – Golf and Villas.
