More than 600 caves are found in the Rodope Mountains

There are more than 600 caves found in the Rodope Mountains and 4 of them are opened for tourists. These are “Snezhanka” cave near Peshtera, “Yagodinska cave”, “Dyavolskoto gurlo” (The Devil’s throat) and “Uhlovitsata” near Mogilitsa village. This was announced by Sergei Genchev, the manager of “Yagodinska cave”. The cave is very interesting tourist destination.

Bulgaria Tourism Boss: We Eclipsed Greece and Turkey in Moscow Tourism Exhibit

Bulgaria's stand in the tourism exhibition in Russia's capital Moscow overshadowed the Turkish and the Greek stands, in the words of the Chair of Bulgarian State Agency for Tourism Aneliya Krushkova, quoted by the Bulgarian National Radio.

Thirty Bulgarian tourist firms are represented at the Inturmarket 2008 exhibition in Moscow.

Bulgaria's FM: Foreigners Can Apply for Visa Online

Non-EU nationals can already apply for Bulgarian visa through the Internet, Foreign Minister Ivaylo Kalfin announced on Monday.

The service is already operational in the consulate in Moscow, while the consulates in Saint Petersburg, Kiev and Belgrade will start receiving visa applications online within the next couple of months, the ministry said.

5% Growth of Tourists in Summer Season '08 Expected

The expected growth of tourist in Bulgaria in the coming summer season is between 3 and 5 %, compared to the last year season.

This was prognosticated by Rumen Draganov, director of Institute for analysis and value in tourism.

Last year Bulgaria was visited by 7,8 million tourists and excursionists.

The increase in coming holiday makers will be mainly due to Romanian and Greek tourists.

Bulgaria Steps Film Tourism

Bulgaria enters the World guide for film destinations in the next edition of the book, shared Tony Reeves, editor of World wide guide to movie locations.

In the last years Bulgaria became place for shooting of many US film productions, but also a place where many world famous stars, Oscar holders came to participate in the movies.
