The Emporium Pistiros near the town of Vetren, Septemvri municipality, is the only one ancient trade, centre found in Bulgaria. The alternative tourism is among the main priorities for Velingrad municipality. “We want to turn Velingrad in a brand new tourist destination and to make the region a world sports and spa centre”, said the mayor of the town Ivan Lebanov.

48 companies present Bulgaria at the biggest tourist exhibition in Berlin from the 6th to 7th of Match. This was announced by the organizers of the “Bulgarian symbols” initiative.

More than 200 000 exhibitors and visitors from all around the world will exchange their ideas and decisions in the field of tourism and the opportunities for attractive new tourist destinations.

The Bulgarian unit of French wine and spirits group Belvedere said it will start this April to export local wine to the U.S.

Belvedere Bulgaria subsidiary Vinimpex and Imperial Brands, Belvedere's stateside branch, will be in charge of the export operations.

The Bulgarian wines will initially retail in 12 U.S. states.

Overseas, the company will market the output of its Katarjina Estate and Domain Menada wineries, positioning the brands in the mid-price segment.

Bulgaria attends for 40th serial time the international tourism market ITB Berlin, which starts on March 5 to 9 in the German capital Berlin.
ITB Berlin is the biggest tourism expo in world range as this year will be its 42nd edition. Country - partner of the expo this year will be Dominican Republic.

This year the market expects round 11,000 expositors from 180 countries and regions and more than 160,000 visitors.
