Bansko will host the 13th Bansko Jazz festival, as a tradition during the period 08 – 13 August 2010. The event will be opened with a tribute concert for the legendary Lea Ivanova. All Jazz fans will be able to meet world famous performers form 4 continents. The guests and residents of the town will enjoy the magic of music on the open stage at “Nikola Vaptsarov” square.

The summer solstice arrives June 21 to mark the longest day and shortest night of the year for the northern hemisphere, a day people have celebrated for centuries.

The solstice, which marks the zenith of the sun's path, is expected in Bulgaria at 2:28 pm local time. The day will last 15 hours and 19 minutes on June 21.

The Bulgarian town of Sandanski has been declared “Best Spa Destination in Bulgaria” at the first national ”Spa Nominations” awards.

The ceremony took place in the Bulgarian town of Pravetz on Wednesday.
