The new road to Devin spa and wellness resort is opened. The road is 21 km long and starts form the exit of the Mihalkovo village, reaching Devin. The new trace passes east of the old road and offers high quality road surface and a modern marking. Thus the access to Devin and its vicinities will be easier and the travel time to the resort is significantly shortened.

The new road passes high in the mountain hills and offers incredible views towards the mountain.

The Bulgarians can now fly from Plovdiv to London's Stansted Airport for just 33 euro, as Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair has included the airport in Bulgaria's second largest city in its flight destinations. The first flight from Plovdiv to London is scheduled for November 2. Ryanair will carry out two Plovdiv-London flights a week. The airliner's management expects annual turnover of over 30,000 passengers. The new airline will also open thirty job positions.

The World Heritage Committee meeting in Brazil extended Sunday the World Heritage statute of Bulgaria’s Pirin Natural Park.

The Committee also inscribed three new cultural sites, including two in Mexico and one in Brazil and three natural sites in China, Kiribati, and Reunion Island (France).

Over 100 hotels in Veliko Tarnovo and Arbanassi were fully booked during the festival “A Scene of the Centuries”, which started on Friday in the Tsarevets fortress.

The package offers presented by the hotels include an entrance ticket for the spectacles. Guests from the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Romania and Russia attended the shows in Tsarevets.

On July 31st Pirin Golf & Country Club hosted the first amateur golf tournament DEVIN Golf Open. Most of the participants arrived on Friday and immediately started practicing oh the Practice area and on the course, stimulated by the attractive prizes provided by the sponsor.
The great interest in the event and the competition proves the effort in developing and promoting golf in Bulgaria, one of the reasons of “Devin- water from the mountain” to join the aristocratic sport.
