Varna Municipality with a Ski Track

Only 50 km from Varna a real paradise for snow lovers appears.
The ski track is located in Valchi Dol, in “Koshu Bair” area and attracts skiers and snowboarders from Varna and Dobrich. Many people prefer going there in the weekend, because the prices are really affordable. The ski track is 250 metres long; keeping in mind there is a project that foresees the construction of 100 metres more. The area attracts about 200 keen sport lovers during holidays. 1,500 Russian Tourists Choose Pamporovo Resort, Share Impressions

Round 1,500 Russian tourists preferred Pamporovo ski resort for spending their winter vacation.
The Russians are one third from all foreigners in the resort. According to local tour operators, Pamporovo attracts more and more wealthy Russians.

Russian tourists are welcomed guests

There won’t be signed an agreement during the visit of Russia’s President Vladimir Putin to Bulgaria because it was already signed in May 2007, when we paid a visit with the Government delegation, chairperson of the Bulgaria’s State Agency for Tourism Aneliya Krushkova said in an interview to BNR. Bulgaria Takes Part in Tourism Expos in Helsinki and Vienna

State Agency of Tourism organizes presentation of Bulgaria as a tourist destination on expositions in Helsinki and Vienna, which will occur from 17 to 20 January.
MATKA expo in Helsinki, Finland is the biggest tourismevent in Northern Europe and the Baltics.
MATKA'2007 exposers were 1126 from 59 countries. Visitors were over 85, 953 among which 16, 910 professionals in the tourism branch.
Through the expo's third day, visitors hit the record amount of 34,000 people.

New Container Port Terminal Cconstruction in Varna to Start by End 2008

By the end of January 2008, the Transport and Communications Ministry would prepare a memorandum on the construction of a new container terminal in Varna and the transformation of the Varna East Port into a tourist area, Varna municipal council chair Borislav Goutsanov said.

A joint company of Varna municipality and the state will manage the new port infrastructure, investor.bg said. Private companies could also take part in the new company, but the maximum share of the private companies...
