Bulgaria to Participate in the International “Green Week” Expo in Berlin

Bulgaria will participate in the international expo “Green Week” 2008, which will take place in Berlin, from Jan 18 to Jan 28. At the 73-rd issue of the expo, Bulgaria will present 10 companies, including wine and milk producers. They will exhibit diary products, biological and eco products, sorts of wine, herbs and honey products.
Bulgaria is a traditional participant in the event, which yearly presents more than 60 countries from all over the world.

World's Best 'Future Shorts' Films for 2007 Presented in Sofia

This January the festival for short movies production Future Shorts will mark the New Year with selection of its best short films of 2007.
The Best from the Future Shorts' 07 will present a total of 13 movies from all around the world that deserved the approve of the public and the jury.

National Campaign Chooses Best Bulgarian Symbol

The Bulgarians to choose between Tsarevets Fortress and the Madara Horseman.

Tsarevets in Veliko Tarnovo - the fortress of the 2nd Bulgarian Kingdom, the Madara Horseman - listed in UNESCO world heritage site and the Cyrillic Alphabet are the top three choices for a symbol of Bulgaria.

The Oldest Skeleton in the World Attracts Visitors in Vratsa

New opportunities for tourism development are on the way for Vratsa Town, at the foot of Vratsa Balkan Mountain in Northern Bulgaria. The newest tourist product in Vratsa is the oldest preserved skeleton on earth, which was found by the archeologist Georgi Ganecovski near the village of Ohoden, Vratsa municipality. Old Bulgarian Capital Gets a Funicular

Veliko Turnovo, Bulgaria’s erstwhile capital, will acquire a funicular that will connect the town’s periphery to its centre and allow better sightseeing opportunities within a year.

The funicular will consist of cabins with a capacity for each to fit 16 standing and seated people.
