More than 100 groups from 10 countries will participate in the 17th International Festival of the Masquerade Games ‘Surva 2008'.
The fest starts on Friday, January 25 and will continue till Sunday, January 27 in the city of Pernik, western from Sofia.

Bulgaria's Cultural Minister Stefan Danailov is going to be patron of the vivid event, organized by the financial support of the Culture Ministry.

The official opening starts on Friday at 18.00h in the Culture Palace in Pernik.

In the passed 2007 the Architecture Ethnographic Complex ‘Etar' was among the most preferred tourist spots in the district of Gabrovo.

This was revealed by the visitation statistics of the open air museum near Gabrovo city (Central Bulgaria).
On the cobbles streets of the Bulgarian National revival bazaar had took a walk more than 190,000 tourists. 26,000 of them were foreigners.
The French people were the most frequent visitors - 4,119.

Two brand new hotels will open doors in Hissar resort during the spring. Hotel “Chinar”, which will be situated right next to the Municipal building is due to be completed by June. The hotel is financed with funds form the SAPARD program. The three storey complex Central is the other hotel, which will open doors by the end of the spring this year. It is situated in close vicinity to the fortification wall of the town. The owner of the hotel invested one million euro in the spa complex....

On January 30 2008, for first time the band of the King of Rock & Roll Elvis Presley will set foot in Bulgaria. The show will start at 7pm at National Palace of Culture Hall 1 in Sofia.

The Band includes James Burton on guitar, Glen D. Hardin on piano, Jerry Scheff on bass and Ron Tutt on drums, with special participation of Dennis Jale, vocals, and The Sweet Inspirations as back vocals.
