Bicycle Line to Link Black Sea Coastal Cities in Bulgaria and Romania

A bicycle line consistent with European standards will be built between the town of Shabla, on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast, and the resort village of 2 Mai on Romania’s coast, Romanian media reported.

The 500,000-euro project, financed by Brussels, will begin in May. According to the Romanian daily newspaper Adevarul, its expected completion date is in November.

Seaside Burgas Awarded for 'Green Municipality'

Burgas municipality received on official ceremony on Thursday, April 10 the award ‘Green Municipality'.
The coastal city was bestowed with the prestigious prize in the category ‘Realized object in civil green system', due to the reconstructions site in front of ‘Theatre for drama, opera and ballet'.

The garden is now with new alleys, banks and lights. The total investments for the repairs that continued for two months were 240,000 BGN (120,000 EUR).

Bulgarian Officials Discuss with EC Representatives Danube Bridge 2

The development of the project “Construction of the new combined (road and railway) bridge over the Danube river between the towns of Vidin (Bulgaria) and Calafat (Romania)” is to be discussed today at a meeting with representatives of the European Commission.

The event will be held in the conference center of the Regional administration in Vidin, informs Vidin.info.

Project to Connect the Danube Delta in Romania with Bulgaria’s Black Sea Coast

A trans-border project that envisions the operation of passengers ships connecting the Danube Delta in Romania with towns along Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast was initiated by Romania, media reported recently.

Three Romanian municipalities, Constanţa, Mangalia and Tulcea – all of them located along the country’s Black Sea coast, will be included in the project. On the Bulgarian side, the Balchik, Varna and Burgas municipalities will be partners.

Modern Hospital to Be Built in Bulgaria's Mountain Resort Bansko

A brand new hospital is to be constructed in the Bansko Mountain resort in southwest Bulgaria, the Blagoevgrad newspaper "Vyara" reported.

Thus the largest winter resort in the Balkans is finally going to have its own hospital as it has used so far the medical facilities of the nearby town of Razlog.
