100 mln to be invested in Pamporovo resort till 2010

100 mln GBN will be invested in Pamporovo mountain resort till 2010. The last investments in the resort were at total value of 40 mln BGN and all lift stations and facilities in Pamporovo were renovated. The rope line connection and ski slope between Snezhanka peak and Stoikite village are in process of development. The new piste will be 3 km long. 1.5 mln BGN was put into the ski wardrobes and equipment.

One of the wildest and most remote areas of Bulgaria – the Strandzha Mountain on the border with Turkey, seems to be turning into the next major destination for individual adventure tourism. Agriculture Expo 'Agra 2008' Achieves Record in Visitors

33, 897 people have visited AGRA 2008 - a record in the 17 -year history of the International Agricultural Exposition.
The visitors' raise is 13, 5% compared to last year when guests were 29, 853.

The most of the foreign attendants were from Greece, Turkey, Serbia, Macedonia and Romania.
That's how AGRA has already turned into the most successful agriculture exposition on the Balkans.

Plovdiv, Stara Zagora and Sofia are the cities with biggest share of Bulgarian visitors.

Danube Bridge 2 construction to start in April on Vidin in Bulgaria

Construction on the second bridge across the Danube river between Bulgaria and Romania would start in April this year, Transport Minister Petar Moutafchiev told reporters on February 25 2008, reported Focus news agency.

Moutafchiev's statement came before the scheduled meeting of Bulgaria's council on coordination, control and implementation of infrastructure projects of national significance, attended by Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev.

Bulgaria Foreign Minister Opens Forum on National Symbols

Bulgaria Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfin opened Monday a round table as part of the "Bulgarian Symbols" National Campaign.

The themes of the forum, which took place in Grand Hotel Sofia, were: "The Bulgarian Symbols in Support Our Identity and as Bulgaria's Emblem Abroad", and "Bulgaria - Successful European Business and Tourist Destination."
