Romanians Prefer to Spend Their Holidays in Bulgaria

Although the significant increasing of the life standard in Romania, still the biggest part of people prefer cheaper offers for their holidays.
This could explain the quicken interest of Romanians towards celebrating New Year's Eve in Bulgarian resorts as Bansko or Borovetz.

In Romanian mountain resorts holidays' offers are of about 1000 EUR per man, which is not quite accessible for the most of the people.

A Tourist Complex for 100 Million BGN Will be Constructed in Berkovitsa

The first stage of the realization of “Berkovski Balkan” sport & tourist complex has already started. The investments will be around 100 Million BGN.
According to the plans the complex will feature 25 km-long ski track, 6 lift facilities and hotel base with 5000 beds. A total of 2000 vacancies will be opened. A joint stock company has already been established. The plans foresee the complex will be completed for 4 years.
Main investor of “Berkovski Balkan” project is GlavBulgarStroy.

All Ski Lifts on Vitosha with One Lift Pass

The new owner of “Vitosha ski” announced a pleasant surprise for the new coming ski season: “All ski lifts on Vitosha can be used with one lift pass”. The lift passes will be chip card, as it is in the modern alpine resorts all over the words. The Winter Season on Vitosha will be opened on 7th December

The winter season on Vitosha will be opened on 7th December 2007. All snow canons for artificial snow, which are installed on the Laleto slope are operating.
The ski slopes and equipment are now being prepared for the grand opening of the new season.

Please note that there is High Avalanche Danger on Malak Rezen part of the mountain
