The official groundbreaking ceremony of the "Grand Plaza" complex was held today in Ruse.

The complex is considered one of the biggest in its scale and significance, joint public and private projects in Bulgaria.

The Bulgarian Union of Tourism Investors (UTI) starts a massive advertising campaign in Spain, presenting Bulgaria as a tourist destination, its press service announced on Friday.

The UTI is currently presenting Bulgaria in the Spanish capital Madrid during the Day of Europe celebrations, which started on Friday. The Week of Europe there was opened with the Bulgarian exhibitions dedicated to the Cyrillic alphabet.

The investment amount of BGN 160 million is expected for the new "Varna" stadium.

The sum could end up even higher, according to statements made in front of sports reporters today by the contractor "Project Management Company" and the investor "Sports Complex Varna".

65% of the investor's shares belong to "Himimport" while the remaining 35% are owned by the Varna Municipality.

Construction works are planned to begin in the fall and are expected to continue for about 26 months with...

The Bulgarian minister of economy and energy Peter Dimitrov will open the International fair of consumer goods and technologies, today in Plovdiv.

991 companies from 36 countries have registered for participation in the event, 668 of which are Bulgarian.

Most of the foreign companies are from Italy, Poland, Germany, Turkey, Greece and Spain. The new participant countries are Ukraine, Norway, San Marino and Singapore.

A new luxury vacation complex will be constructed on Bulgaria's northern Black Sea coast between the resort of Albena and the city of Varna.

The complex will be called "Golden Valley" ("Zlatna Dolina" in Bulgarian), and is worth EUR 20 M.
The Bulgarian-French company Eurosilex is the investor in the project. Most of the apartments in the new complex have already been sold to buyers from the UK, Ireland, Russia, Poland, France, and the Scandinavian states.

A detailed map of Kranevo will help during the summer season, announced the mayor of the village Mr. Rumen Nikolov. All restaurants, accommodation and hotels in the village will be pointed on the map. The maps will be placed on 4 or 5 key sited in the village. Thus the tourists will be able to easily find their way to the hotel or restaurant they wish to visit.
The project will be financed with municipal funding and by the local tourism contractors. The mayor plans to complete the project...

The thirteenth edition of ‘Salon Des Arts' culture festival starts in Bulgaria's capital and will last for 42 days.
The official opening of the event will be on May 12 in hall 1 of National Palace of Culture (NDK) with huge folklore concert.

In the festival's program are included concerts, dance shows, expositions, cinema shows, literature readings and many others.

The Internet issue ‘E-Media Wire' published tourist guide for 2008 for best tourist destinations. This year the edition includes Bulgaria, money.bg announced.
The author and selctioneer of the guide Pauline Fromer listed the 10 Top tourist destination by the criteria of expends, romantic journey, family tourism and exotic destinations for travelers, looking for adventures.

Bulgaria is one of the four destinations out of USA.

The Union of the tourism investors will represent Bulgaria in Madrid during the celebrations of the Day of Europe. All capitals from the European Union nations will represent themselves as tourist destinations.

National conference “Travelling to Bulgaria. Journey in medieval Bulgaria and the present-day tourism” takes place in Shoumen from 08.05 to 11.05.2008.
