International Scientific Team to Examine Bulgaria's Black Sea

An international team of scientists will examine Bulgaria’s Black Sea ecosystems, a Cabinet press release said.

Research is part of EU’s SEAAME project. As part of it, the Bulgarian government will allow Aegaeo ship, traveling under Greek flag, to remain in the Bulgarian coastal region from October 4 to 15 2007.

Bulgaria expects record levels of rose oil production

The season of rose – picking was opened in Wednesday in the Bulgarian Rose Valley. It promises record levels of rose oil production, which is used for the production of the most high quality perfumes, famous worldwide. This was announced by representatives of the local industry.

Danube Bridge 2 is part of important transport corridor: PM Stanishev

Danube Bridge 2 is part of the important transport corridor #4, which connects the port of Thessalonike with Sofia, Vidin, Romania, EU’s central and northern parts, Bulgarian PM Sergey Stanishev said in the town of Vidin, cited by a reporter of Radio Focus-Vidin.

First sod at constuction site of Danube Bridge 2 turned /ROUNDUP/

The first sod at the construction site of the second bridge over the Danube river, which will connect Vidin with the Romanian town of Kalafat was turned. The Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev symbolically opened the construction.
The contract reads the contractor, Spanish FCC, has 38 months to implement the project and 12 months to eliminate any defects.

Bridge across the Danube raises hope not only among drivers

Vidin, Bulgaria - Bulgaria and Romania agreed that they need a second bridge across the Danube, signed a contract to construct it seven years ago, but actually started building it only this week.
